Christina Young grew up in a small town in Northeast Pennsylvania. Her grandfather was a real estate agent and perhaps influenced her choice in careers. It wasn't until she started looking for her own house to buy however, that she felt real estate would be a great profession for her. She struggled with agents and banks, trying to get loans and to find a home. Though she decided not to purchase at that time, she came out of it with some valuable lessons. What not do when helping others find a new home. The way she was treated through the whole process made her decide she never wanted others to feel that way. Finding a new home should be exciting, not discouraging.
In January of 2007, Christina decided to make the move with her family from the cold north, to the not as cold south. They had relatives that had recently moved to Aiken and upon visiting fell in love with the area.
In March of 2009, she decided it was time to follow her dream and attended the Real Estate School for Success located in Columbia, South Carolina. Here under the instruction of Broker Frankie Griffin, Christina received her Pre and Post Licensing education. She obtained her license to practice real estate in August of 2008 and joined the Blanchard and Calhoun family.
Christina is a member of the Aiken Board of Realtors, South Carolina Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors.
